Growing in our Faith . . .

Men's Breakfast Fellowship

The men of Seabold Church meet monthly on the second Saturday at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast and discussion. This is a great time to develop companionship and enjoy each other's company.

United Methodist Women - (UMW)

Our United Methodist Women support church Mission projects and missionaries worldwide. UMW meets monthly (from September through June) on the second Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. for a business discussion and interesting educational programs, followed by a luncheon. Childcare is available with advance notification. For more information, please contact the church office.

Spending Time With One Another . . .

United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF)

The Junior High Group - grades 5, 6, 7, 8 - and the Senior High Group - grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 - meet every Thursday from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m. Our youth groups have wonderful times of fun and fellowship, from group meetings with great discussions about faith and teen issues, to day trips and Youth Retreats. Our Youth Directors offer our youth an opportunity to grow spiritually and learn about the love of God and just how it relates to them. With unconditional love, acceptance and guidance from our Youth Directors, Seabold Church youth learn to develop a positive direction in life. UMYF is a safe place to dissect the issues every teenager faces while they develop friendships that bring the group closer together. For more information, please contact the church office.

Our Mission Outreach Locally and Worldwide . . .

Sandwich Sunday is the 3rd Sunday of every month, and a traditional mission for over 20 years. People bring sandwiches, hard-boiled eggs, and fruit Sunday morning to be taken to the First Avenue Service Center in Seattle. About 150 people are fed through this outreach each Sandwich Sunday.

Super Supper is the last Monday evening of each month. Seabold UMC provides a meal (hosted at Eagle Harbor Congregational Church) for people who are short of food and money at the end of the month.

Bainbridge Island Ometepe Sister Island Association working with the Catholic Church in Balgue, Ometepe, Nicaragua, has developed a sister church relationship. We remember them with our prayers and gifts. In addition, we support annual projects for youth and adults in Ometepe.

Cropwalk is a project of the Bainbridge Island/North Kitsap Interfaith Council, organized by members of Seabold UMC. Cropwalk funds help relieve hunger, with 25% of the funds returned to assist the hunger projects at Helpline House of Bainbridge Island and Fishline of Poulsbo.

Mission Outreach includes education and participation of our congregation in United Methodist missions in various parts of the world. It also facilitates local mission outreach in the Puget Sound area. We work with the Interfaith Council to inform people about areas of social concern, locally and abroad.

Christian Education in Action

Sunday School meets every Sunday morning at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. There are classes for all ages, preschool through adult. We encourage all members of our congregation to continually grow in Christian knowledge and faith.

Children's Sunday School is offered at both 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The curriculum entails two multi-age classes - one offered during each time slot. The classes are Bible-centered, with plenty of fun activities for kids of all ages. (Classes commence immediately following Children's Moment in each worship service.)

The Nursery is available for younger children from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

United Methodist Youth Fellowship (junior high on up) joins our Youth Directors for Sunday School during the 9:00 a.m. service. They study the Bible and discuss relevant topics, often with activities planned during that time. YOUth participate in several outings throughout the year. The group also helps to coordinate a variety of church events.

Adult Sunday School meets at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. The Adult Bible Study class meets during the 9:00 a.m. worship service, and the Adult Topical Discussion Group meets during the 10:30 a.m. service.

Vacation Bible School: Each summer in July, a new project and curriculum bring together Seabold UMC family and friends of all ages for fellowship and learning.
