\\\"They Poured Fire On Us From The Sky\\\" is a story about the Lost Boys of Sudan. They were children (5 to 12) and there were thousands of them. They faced hunger, thirst, attack by soldiers, wild animals, disease, insects and physical trauma, but some made it. (Many did not.) They were driven out of their homes by the war in Sudan and first went to a refugee camp in Ethiopia and then, when they were driven out of there, to a refugee camp in Kenya. This book was written by three of the boys themselves. They went to live in the United States after their stay in Kenya. The book is written in the first person with each boy telling his own story. It can be confusing and at times is very fast paced. But it is graphic and moving. It would be informative for anyone concerned about the war in Sudan or the children in Africa.
